ASRock company in Taiwan held a presentation, where was shown motherboards based on chipset Intel X99. These solutions will be accompanied by Haswell-E processors LGA 2011-3 and will debut in September. Originally ASRock release three motherboards - X99 Extreme 6, X99 Extreme 4 and X99 Killer.
Of these the most advanced trio will be model X99 Extreme 6. It has a 12-phase power system processor, eight slots for DDR4 memory (the maximum supported RAM is 64 GB), three slots PCI Express x16, two slots PCI Express x1, slot Ultra M.2 and mini-PCI Express. X99 Extreme 6 received 10 SATA 6 Gb / s port and one SATA Express.
X99 Extreme 4 is very similar to the above-described model , but with noticeable changes. First, the board will change the configuration of expansion slots: slot PCI Express 2.0 x16, a PCI Express x1 slot will be only one. On the board, there are no ports SATA Express and mini-PCI Express, supported only 6 ports USB 3.0, but the number of available USB 2.0 ports increased to 8 pieces. Other features of the solutions are the same.
Model X99 Killer goes beyond standard Extreme Series and is intended mainly for gamers. Board is equipped with a network controller Killer E2200.
