Huawei has announced a smartphone Mate 8, which the developers call "the most impressive flagship smartphone." As expected, the new product is based on the newest system-on-chip Kirin 950, which includes an eight-core processor and graphics controller Mali T880MP4.
Recall that this processor SoC includes four productive core Cortex-A72, working at a frequency of 2.3 GHz, and four energy-efficient core Cortex-A53, with a frequency of 1.8 GHz. Kirin is also equipped with a 950 coprocessor i5, which handles the sensors and sensor smartphone. The chip is produced on TSMC 16-nm process FinFET.
Huawei Mate 8 is equipped with a 6-inch display with a resolution of Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels), which is covered with a protective glass with rounded edges 2.5D. Smartphone is made of aluminum, at its rear end cover is a fingerprint scanner. The back of the camera is based on a 16-megapixel sensor Sony IMX298, and the front is able to shoot with a resolution of 8 megapixels. Built-in battery capacity is 4000 mAh. It works on the new operating system Android 6.0 Marshmallow with firm shell EMUI 4.0.
The smartphone will be available in three versions, which differ in volume of operational and internal memory. Mate 8 get 3 ram and 32 GB of internal memory and, accordingly, will cost $ 480.
