Back in June, NVIDIA demonstrated a prototype of the DGX-1 system with eight Tesla V100 computation accelerators with the Volta architecture.  Judging by the early photographs, they were equipped with aluminum radiators, or copper coolers had a nickel coating.  The other day NVIDIA announced the delivery of one of the first DGX-1 systems based on Volta accelerators to the American medical center CCDS, which is developing algorithms for accelerated analysis of the results of radiological diagnostics.  Roughly speaking, CCDS specialists developed the technology of "computer decoding" of X-ray images and their subsequent analysis.  

The version of the DGX-1 based on eight Tesla V100 accelerators is equipped with two 20-core Xeon E5-2698 v4 processors from the Broadwell-EP generation, and each of the Volta generation accelerators carries 16 GB of HBM2 memory on board.  The amount of RAM type DDR4-2133 reaches 512 GB.  The disk system is represented by a RAID 0 array of four solid-state drives with a capacity of 1.92 TB.  The cost of the system reaches $ 149,000.

The use of copper radiators on the Tesla V100 accelerators is cast into the eye.  They are large enough, but this is also explained by the layout of the cooling system: blowing their fans are located at the wall of the shell, at some distance.

According to rumors, the announcement or the beginning of sales of Intel desktop processors, codenamed Coffee Lake will be held on October 5 .  Together they will be presented with a compatible Intel Z370.  This will be an intermediate solution, because the processors are already ready and they can not be installed in the motherboards of the 200 series.  The location of the keys in the LGA 1151 connector in the case of Coffee Lake models is such that they do not fit into the connector on the boards for Skylake or Kaby Lake, as well as the latter can not be installed in boards on 300 chipset.

In short, the Z370 will be actually  the renamed  Z270.  A truly new chipset for Coffee Lake models is expected in the second half of next year, which will be Z390.  Intel Z390  will bring to the company's platforms integrated Wi-Fi channel modem, six USB 3.1 ports and support for SDXC memory cards.  Mass update of Intel chipsets for Coffee Lake processors of medium and low levels is expected in the first quarter of 2018.  At this time, the market will have mobos on  H370, Q370, Q360, B360 and H310.  All of them will receive new extensions, which will later appear in the Z390 set (built-in Wi-Fi and the rest).
