According to a recent study of the analytical agency Gartner, in the third quarter, the share of smartphones had 55% of the total weight of sold mobile phones.  Total for this period were sold 250.2 million smartphones, up 45.8% compared to the same period last year.  Meanwhile, the total mobile phone sales grew by only 5.7% in the year to 455.6 million units. 
In the third quarter  2013, its lead over Apple's boosted Samsung, which sold about 80.36 million smartphones, a 46% increase over the third quarter of 2012, while Apple managed to implement 30.33 million smart phones.  Interestingly, Samsung's market share did not change and remained at 32.1%, while Apple over the past year has lost 2.3% and retained only 12.1%. 
The record for the fastest growth is Lenovo company , which managed to increase sales of smartphones by  84.5% to 12.9 million largely due to the Chinese market.
