The announcement of the first 45 nm Intel processors already took place, the first deliveries of dual-core processors will begin  in 30-45 days. The desktop 45 nm processors Wolfdale with two core will appear in the same time, so we are not surprised about the existence of  engineering samples Core 2 Duo E8500 (3.16) GHz with 1333 MHz bus and 6 MB cache in  the second level .in January such processor will cost $ 266 (1000 pieces). XtremeSystems.org forum participants were among the lucky holders of the first samples of Core 2 Duo E8500 (3.16 GHz). Note that the quad-processor Core 2 Extreme QX9650 (3.0 GHz) with air-cooling can be clocked to 4.0 GHz. In the first overclock the engineering sample Core 2 Duo E8500 was coupled with the motherboard Asus P5K3 Deluxe and green Thermaltake V1. Raising the Vcore voltage up to 1,472 V  and lowering the multiplier to 9 x, the author was able to overclock up to 4419 MHz . Here is the Wolfdale processor stepping C0-ever, which are based on the first serial processors Yorkfield and Harpertown. After raising the core voltage to 1,664 V and the multiplier to 9.5 x , the processor was overclocked up to 495 MHz in the system bus, allowing the resulting frequency of 4702 MHz. SuperPI 1M was performed at less than ten seconds with such frequency. but here The practice shows that many processors copies show low system bus limit . The second copy Core 2 Duo E8500 , with 1.6 V was overclocked up to 4625 MHz, witch was  SuperPI 1M stable . Related Products :

	Hey guys, i have the Asus P5K3 mb, and a Q6600 chip atm, currently waiting on my E8500 to come in the mail to test out some of these benchmarks I\'ve been reading. I currently have the Thermaltake CL-P0310, with 4-120mm fans on the side of my case, i was curious if you prefer the Thermaltake V1 cpu heat sink instead?
