The first samples of desktop Kentsfield  processors with four cores already exist, however exact data about level TDP  did not excist. as they can work in the existing motherboards supporting Core 2 Extreme processors  with level TDP no more 75 w, and also processors Pentium D with level TDP from 95 up to 130 w, it is possible to assume, that desktop processors Intel with four core will be entered in  TDP=130 w.
motherboard manufacturers   has informed, that existing motherboard with support of Woodcrest server  processors  were developed in view of their successors support  coupled with 4 core  and named Clovertown for which level TDP will be equal 120 w.
This application  confirms words of AMD representatives  which expected increase of the   power requirement level in future server processors. Intel up to present somewhere above 130 w.  AMD expects to keep within   4 core processors thermal emission of 120 w.
As Clovertown will be close relative of Kentsfield, it is reasonable to assume, that for the last one level TDP will be equal 120 w. Here much depends on clock frequency. For example, in family Clovertown there will be also models with TDP no more than 80 w. In a word, Intel processors with four core will not consume a lot of energy.
